Nov 1    14th ANNUAL OYSTER CLOYSTER FESTIVAL
The Oyster Cloyster is an exceptional event where you can indulge your sense of pleasure with original culinary creations prepared by the Chefs of the Oyster Cloyster, making it an experience to savor. Proceeds from the event benefit both the Oregon Coast Community College's Aquarium Science Program as well as the Oregon Coast Aquarium. 6:30pm -9:30pm
Nov 7-9    YACHATS CELTIC MUSIC FESTIVAL
Experience a lively blend of foot-tapping Celtic music, humor, scrumptious food, and performances by graceful dancers. For this 13th Anniversary of the Festival acclaimed performers from the old countries will mix harmoniously with home grown American masters to fill the Village of Yachats with traditional (and not so traditional) Celtic Music.

Crafts made by Ladies Club members include knits, home decor, gift baskets and more. Hours 10am-4pm Lunch on Saturday 11am - 2 pm. Quilt raffle on Sunday, 2pm
Nov 22 7 pm - 9 pm    SEA PORTLAND CELLO PROJECT
Since 2007 the Portland Cello Project has wowed audiences all over the country with edgy, extravagant performances. No two shows are alike, with more than 800 pieces of music you wouldn't normally hear from a cello....folk, rock, classical, jazz, and hip-hop. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for those 18 and younger and are available at the box office from 9 to 4:30 M-F or online
Dec 6 & 7    ANNUAL HECETA HEAD LIGHTHOUSE VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE
The Queen Ann style Keeper's House will be decorated with Victorian flourishes inside and out. Enjoy warm drinks and treats and performances by local musicians. Santa Claus will be there, and there will be a holiday raffle with great prizes from local businesses. Shuttle service will be offered from Heceta Head Lighstation State Scenic Area parking lot to the front door. Or bring warm, rainproof clothing and a flashlight and enjoy a beautiful walk up from the parking lot/beach. The parking fee is $3 or present your Oregon Coast Passport.

Dec 7 - 21    106th ANNUAL LIGHTED BOAT PARADE NEWPORT BAYFRONT
Join over a million viewers as you watch beautifully decorated yachts, boats, kayaks and canoes sail along the harbor in the 106th Annual Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. Hosted by the Commodores Club of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce, we invite you to celebrate this year as we feature the theme “Deck the Hulls with Bows of Jolly.” The Event Welcome to the Official Site for the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. As Newport Beach’s Christmas Card to the world, the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade will set the harbor ablaze for five consecutive nights, beginning Wednesday, December 17 and ending Sunday, December 21, 2014. The parade starts off Bay Island at 6:30 pm and finishes at the same site at approximately 9:00 pm each evening.
Dec 12    29th ANNUAL WINTER CELEBRATION CEREMONY WITH THE SWEET ADELINES
The Opening Ceremony presented by Mary Claire Crook is held at the Little Log Church Museum and is sponsored by the Yachats Area Chamber of Commerce. The Opening Ceremony is followed by a performance by the Sweet Adelines at the Yachats Ladies Clubhouse with refreshements provided by the Yachats Ladies Club

Dec 26-31    WINTER WHALE WATCHING WEEK Yachats
Escape the valley fog! Experience a cool, clear wintery coast day while seeking a glimpse of gray whales that are passing the Oregon coast on their southward migration from the Cape Perpetua Visitor Center. It is the perfect place to view these great mammals, remaining warm and dry even if the weather changes to wetter conditions. 11:30am - 1:30 pm The visitor center has expansive, ocean facing windows and is perched 100 feet above sea level, providing a great viewing angle. Programs are scheduled for Whale Watch Week which runs December 26 through 31. Winter Whale Watch Week highlights these whales as they migrate south toward their breeding and calving lagoons.
