WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YACHATS AREA WEATHER
The same things hold true year after year with Yachats area weather: the summers are dry and the winters are wet, with temperatures throughout the year remaining mostly mild. Rarely do temperatures go below 32°F or above 90°F.
July, August and September tend to be the driest and the warmest months with lots of sunshine. However, cooling cloud cover from fog or low clouds can be prevalent in the early mornings and evenings during the drier months, so pack a windbreaker or a sweatshirt. Most of the area’s rainfall, generally between 65 and 90 inches per year, arrives during November, December and January. Even then, mild temperatures — and the right weather gear — make it easy to enjoy the coast during rain.
